Responsibilities

ITRS produces world leading monitoring software in the financial services domain with offices in London, New York and Hong Kong. As part of our continued expansion we have opened a new office in Manila and are seeking talented and highly motivated individuals to join our award winning Support team. The successful candidate can expect to adopt a wide range of responsibilities including (but not limited to):

• Handle phone support from clients, and log related issues into the appropriate system(s)

• Providing technical expertise and a support service to ITRS customers

• Escalate critical issues through appropriate channels and follow up to ensure the client is informed of progress at all times

• Visit client sites for general visits, to tackle specific client problems, and to ensure they are making the best possible use of the product.

The position will be in Makati City, with a possible requirement of travel in the region based on business needs. Office hours are 9am to 5.30pm, but there will be some requirements to work outside of these hours when requested by our clients. A flexible approach to working hours will be essential.

The Person

The successful candidate must be educated to degree level, and have a background in providing first and second line customer support. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in the banking sector, especially working with Market Data or Trading Systems.

The role will place the candidate in contact with senior IT support professionals, so excellent written and spoken communication skills is a must. Due to the demanding nature of the role good time management skills will be important. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a proactive attitude with the ability to work on their own initiative.

Technical Requirements

ITRS will be looking for candidates that can fulfil at least 3 of the following requirements:

First-hand knowledge of at least one Systems Management tool such as Hawk, Tivoli, HP-Openview/ITO, BMC Patrol or Unicenter

Administrator level experience of Operating systems, such as Solaris, HP-UX, Linux, AIX or Windows

• First-hand knowledge of Market Data or Trading systems

• Experience of working with low latency systems

• Scripting knowledge such as PERL, shell or VB script

• Knowledge of databases – Sybase, Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL.
