Business challenge

London-based ADG is a rapidly growing proprietary trading, market making and brokerage house. Its key challenge was to transform its labour intensive operator led systems management and monitoring – and its challenge to identify problems before users on the trading floor experienced issues – into an automated and resilient process. Using ITRS Geneos for the local trading support infrastructure and remote monitoring of systems links has enabled more proactive real-time performance management and system monitoring.

The Geneos solution

ADG now uses ITRS Geneos to monitor critical trading processes distributed across multiple servers and supporting technology infrastructure. The Geneos dashboard is visible on the trading floor allowing traders to see ADG’s systems performance in real time. At the same time, audible alerts keep Greg Smart, ADG’s head of operations and technology, on fully informed no matter where he is.
