Express Reports 2

Geneos Express Reports 2 is a report generating application that creates historic reports based on the data from a Geneos database. This data is extracted and processed to produce a set of reports based upon standard templates.

It consists of a Report Generator, Setup Editor and Attribute Table Generator.

Report Generator

This creates a set of web files (HTML and PNG) contained in a single directory. These files can be viewed directly by opening them in a web browser, or they can be placed on a corporate web server for internal distribution. The Report Generator is designed to run on a regular basis, for example daily, weekly or monthly to produce relevant reports. Report runs can be scheduled by Geneos Gateway or a 3rd party program, for example UNIX cron.

Setup Editor

This creates and modifies a setup file used by the Report Generator. This setup file is in an XML format. Each Report Generator run can use a separate setup file so that different reports can be generated.  

Attribute Table Generator

This adds attribute information to the Geneos database. This uses Gateway 1 setup files.
