Interface allows operations staff and risk and compliance managers to actively monitor systems and applications via information available through log files.

Example uses:

• be notified as soon as an application writes an error message into its log file
• detect when a price feed is not sending updates and therefore breaching regulatory compliance
• detect when a daily data dictionary is not loaded on time
• perform morning checks to ensure applications are in expected states by a specific time
• check correct software versions are installed and running.
• detect when an application is spending too long in a specific state during a night batch, i.e. backup or recalculation

Interface

• tracks updates to a specified set of file and checks the messages against preset criteria
• checks files are updating
• checks expected files are transferred on time
• scans through log files to determine application version numbers
