Geneos State Tracker

This development kit allows operations staff and business users to monitor states of systems and applications.

Example uses:

• check an exchange connection is established and is in the correct state by a specific time in the morning
• check a night batch process spends no more than X minutes in a specific state, to ensure that is will complete in time for morning operation
• extract the number of downloaded orders from the exchange in the morning to ensure the download has been successful
• check no users are logged on to a system during a specific time
• alert on backwardation of market by monitoring for multiple occurrences of bid prices >= ask prices on an individual RIC

This development kit:

• monitors the state of systems, processes or applications derived from data written to log files
• extracts parameters from log files
• shows the user-defined name of the state and the time the state was entered
• dynamically creates/removes state tracking objects based on log file updates
