Geneos XML-RPC API

This development kit allows Users to write programs to enable external applications or plug-ins to publish real-time metrics to Geneos using the XML-RPC API. These programs can be written in a wide variety of languages including Java, C++, C#, Perl, Tcl and Python.

Example uses:

  • monitoring in-house applications that are required to publish their statistics, rather than be polled
  • generation of error lists by application that can be cleared by the user once fixed

This development kit:

  • allows applications to create views and populate them by sending XML-RPC commands to NetProbes
  • allows applications to push data to Geneos at a time that is convenient for the application
  • allows applications to send information to NetProbes that can be monitored for errors and warnings
