Informix Database Interface
This interface allows operations staff to monitor Informix databases to a high level of detail.
Example uses:
- ensure that the database is running properly and is correctly tuned for the hardware it is running on
Interface provides:
- profile counts showing the efficiency of utilisation of the buffer cache for writing and reading
- monitoring of disk spaces, including utilisation and free space of Informix dbspaces
- threading statistics for virtual processors/virtual processor types
- disk input/output statistics by chunk/file or virtual process, including total reads/writes and input/output per second
- counts of different types of write flushes
- statistics on shared memory use, including size, free space, address and ID
- lock statistics including address and table number (with optional row ID)
- monitoring of storage of database logs, including log location and size
