Oracle Database Interface

Interface allows operations staff to monitor Oracle databases to a high level of detail.

Example uses:

  • ensure the database is in the expected state, i.e. primary or secondary
  • ensure adequate space is available
  • get notified when a lock exists for longer than X seconds
  • view queries that have taken longer than X seconds to run

Interface provides

  • server status, including version, start-up time, operating modes
  • details of the created trace files
  • free, used and allocated space per table space
  • details of the locks currently enforced
  • lists of long-running queries
