Our client operates in a highly competitive market that demands constant trading uptime. Their technology environment was facing issues that had a direct impact on the quality of service they were offering clients and there was no visibility across the trade flow or client FIX connectivity.
Existing tools couldn’t identify potential problems before they impacted the business, and support teams weren’t able to focus on their core task of ensuring service excellence for end-users – often missing the real issues, as they were too busy sifting through thousands of system alerts.
What we did
Geneos replaced their existing monitoring tools and provided visibility of performance across all critical systems and applications, including FIX protocol connectivity, capturing a range of key metrics.
We implemented issue alerting that not only provided key contextual information to help quickly resolve issues, but it eliminated the vast number of false alerts that were previously tying up support teams. Issues can now be tracked in real-time and historically, in terms of their status, who had been assigned to handle them and what was done to resolve them.
The results
Geneos provided detailed real time visibility into their trading systems and client connectivity, which enabled our client to ensure delivery of uninterrupted trading and improve client satisfaction.
Geneos was also able to deliver a wealth of key performance metrics that enabled our client to understand their exposure in the market, from the number of pending orders to the total monetary value of orders.
