Solution

The Bloomberg Appliance Management System (BAMS) provides an overview of the data distribution system, its components and its performance. By working jointly with Bloomberg, ITRS has developed a plug-in allowing application support teams to monitor in real time the status of their B-PIPE servers and the underlying data being fed into live Market data streams.

The plug-in is created using the Bloomberg Open API, part of Bloomberg’s Open Market Data Initiative. It can monitor multiple hosted or deployed B-Pipe servers and uses the Bloomberg authenticated connection details to access the data directly from your Geneos solution, and removing the need for you to access and manage multiple systems.

The solution creates a single summary view of all Bloomberg servers monitored/ connected and two data views showing the application and server statistics for each specific server.
