Redundancy

ITRS OP5 Monitor peers can be used to set up redundancy monitoring and instant synchronization of configuration and data. If your monitoring system is critical for your IT operations, a redundant setup is recommended in order to ensure a last defense in case of a large-scale network failure.

If the failure also affects the monitoring system, the redundant system kicks in using a mirrored version in order to ensure availability of the monitoring system, which can then send out alarms and notifications via SMS. The redundant solution can be geographically distributed, for example having one system in the US, one in Europe and a third peer in Asia.
