Senior Software Engineer (C,C++)

Scope of role

As a Senior Software Engineer will ensure that OP5 Monitor meets the needs of the current customer base from a technical perspective. This will include understanding the product and ensuring any changes are consistent with the architecture. You will report to the Engineering Manager - Infrastructure Monitoring in our UK office, whilst managing a local team of engineers in our Makati office. The wider Engineering team is a global team with main hubs in Manila, Sweden, Spain, UK and North America.

The Makati office is growing, and we are looking for Engineers that want to be part of a successful team building software products and working with the latest technologies.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

• Lead a small cross functional team using Agile KanBan framework. 
• Maintenance of all backend components written in C, C++, Go and Python 
• Oversight of the OP5 Monitor product architecture. 
• Work with the Product Owner to agree priorities of work in the backlog. 
• Work with our support team and customers to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues and improve the product. 
• Provide support to other members of the team.

Requirements

• 5 years' experience with the majority of the following languages: C, C++, Go, Python and PHP 
• Experience working with MySQL. 
• Experience working with GIT. 
• Experience with RESTful Services and APIs 
• Advanced Linux especially RHEL, system and RPM packaging  
• Knowledge of CI systems such as Buildbot and GoCD 
• Interaction with open-source communities and contribution to open-source projects (desirable)
• Comfortable in using several open-source technologies and tools. 
• Experience working in Agile environments (SCRUM, JIRA, KanBan) 
• Knowledge of Nagios or Naemon
